President McKinney opened the meeting with the approval of the minutes as posted on kcall.org.
Guests and new members were introduced.
The treasurer’s report was made available in printed form since KCALL Treasurer Linda Roser was unable to attend the meeting. It was noted that there are 45 regular members and 8 associate members. Current members have been contacting prospective and lapsed members from previous membership lists.
Programs chair Susan Duede announced the upcoming programs. These include the "Books & Bytes" video conference at Longview Community College April 18th at 11:00 a.m. Members were requested to R.S.V.P. to Susan Duede who will e-mail directions. The conference is expected to last 1.5 hours. The May 11th meeting will be held at Spencer Fane. The guest speaker will be from Rainy Day books.
Technology chair Barbara Fullerton reported that John Pickett and Nancy Stancel are taking courses at JCCC to assist them in designing the KCALL website. Input and comments are being requested by Nancy Stancel.
Union List: Linda Roser and Joan Thomas are working on the plan to place the Union List on the web, possibly at www.library.com Tranne Pearce is investigating a grant to be used for placement of the Union List on the web and a library school internship to assist in the process.
The KCALL membership list will be placed on kcall.org. The list will be password protected & no personal information will be posted.
President McKinney announced that the next Executive Board meeting will be held April 20th, 2000 at Bryan Cave, L.L.P.
