Members Meeting
March 10, 2004

The March 10, 2004 meeting was held at the downtown office of Stinson Morrison Hecker.

Present were: Tom Marsh, Frances Schach, Deanna Long, Joan Thomas, Ruth Gervais, Linda Wassberg, Sharon Hom, Deborah Showalter-Johnson, Molly Lang, Mike Sappenfield, Paul Callister, Nancy Stancel, Cindi Ernst, Sandra Berman, Debbie Steele, Tranne Pearce, Mary Ann Yancey, Cindy Crary, Beth Cohen, Maria Johnson, Janice Jones, Dale Magariel, Rob Mead (guest speaker).

I.      The meeting was called to order at 12:00 by President Tom Marsh.

II.     It was announced that the draft of the minutes from the 2004 Annual Meeting have been posted to the website and are pending approval.

III.    No old business.

IV.     New business - the next meeting to be held May 13th at the new Kansas City Public Library.  The program will be 30 Sites in 60 Minutes presented by Priscilla Stultz from Lexis-Nexis.  Following the program will be a tour of the library.

The business meeting was adjourned and Frances Schach introduced the program "Law
Librarianship in the Year 2004: Trends, Forecasts & Life Experiences" and the speakers.
Speaking were Paul Callister from UMKC on the Law Library at a Crossroads,
Rob Mead, Program Director from KU Wheat Law Library presenting information on the
Emporia State University/KU Legal Information Management Program, and "the accidental
law librarian" Joan Thomas from Bryan Cave shared her experiences in becoming a law librarian
and what drew her to the profession.
